Open Water

It won't be long for some open water shore fishing as the bays and feeder creeks start to open. The little lake by my house has the open channels and they are breaking out into the lake. 60's are in the forecast and I am getting ready to make the conversion from hard water to open water.

This weekend I will be testing out the electronics, batteries, etc on the boat. Then the fun of rigging and putting new line on the combo's. Spend some time chasing pannies and then wait for the opener.

Some of us have been fishing open water all winter along the north shore of lake superior. It's cold but it beats staring at the vex.

G-man, we will have to try to hook up for some panfish prior to opener being that we did not get out much this winter.

I might try to take my boat out some time this week at a small lake in Eagan!

It was already partially open and with 60's and even 70's I think it may be completely open soon.
