I started having problems with my heater this past weekend and need some advice. The heater would burn okay then all of a sudden it would flame up. It continued this for hours and never did clear up. What could the problem be? I run it from a 10lb. tank and hose to the house. I have some ideas, but wanted to know if anyone else that might have experienced this problem.

Is the hole for air mixture clean? Is the tank sitting upright?

A dirty orifice could be the cause. When not enough fuel is sent to the sunflower it can't burn hot enough or clean enough. Instead of a hot orange glow you get flame. That flame isn't burning clean and your putting a ton of CO into your shelter. Don't use it like that.
