fishinchicks
A very versitile recipe I learned when I moved to SW MN is one of our favorites. Hamburger Rice Hotdish1-1 1/2 pounds ground meat, browned1 can cream of something soup1 cup instant rice (brown rice now comes in a quick variety as well)water (use amount on rice package)After the meat is browned, add the rice, water, and soup. At this time, you could add any spices to suit your taste. We also like to add a can of baked beans, creamed corn, or other vegetable. Simmer, covered, on the stove for 5 minutes (10 if using brown rice). When using baked beans, we like to top it with shredded cheese.Really good, really fast! In fact, we are making it right now!
