LMITOUT
You beat me to it. I was just going to bring this thread back to life after the hacker incident. I tried Collinwood Sat. morning with no luck. I didn't get out Sunday to battle the high winds and stayed in to watch football. Washington appears to be hot for the small pan-fryers. Not much for size though (14-16"). I might try there again this weekend off Ellsworth landing.....if there is any ice left.------------------hook'm and cook'm

LMITOUT
I hit Goose Lake last Saturday evening. Nothing. Hard to fish when there is two feet of weeds above the bottom and it looks like a carpet. I talked to a few others out there and they hadn't caught anything either. I heard they are pretty small in there though. I'm not sure if I'll be out this weekend or not after this warm spell.------------------hook'm and cook'm
Bad Moon
Tried Erie last evening, it was a lonely place to fish. Got one walleye, 14". That was the only action, except for when I kicked over my wine bottle. Was on Minnebelle On Tuesday evening, managed to get one walleye there too, about the same size. Lots of houses on the west side, I think that is a sunfish spot. Ventured out to Cokato Lake on Saturday, no fish there either. People were driving all over that lake. I had 7" of ice right out from the landing. One guy I talked to that drove out there with his young daughter said he got 1 crappie for 3 hours of fishing the day before. He said there wasn't much ice, but that it was "strong ice".
Guest
7"? Must have been real strong ice...some people are just asking to sink their vehicles!
Guest
Think I'll head out to check on Allie today...probably end up on Marion, though.Try to stay on top guys!!!
LMITOUT
Went up to Collinwood today to see if this weather change would jump-start the walleye bite. Not much but small ones. Crappie were as annoying as 6" perch. Did someone fall through up there? I see a bunch of tree branches in the ice with what appears to be yellow tape wrapped around them. Too big of an area for an old spear hole. Deepest area of the lake too!
Poutmaster
I didn't get around here this weekend. I spent the weekend on Upper Red. Good ice and good fishing. I was out on Stella during the week last week and did OK on the walleyes, but there were a lot of small "cigars". Washington is still producing walleyes and crappies, but you need to get away from the crowd. Morning is best for the walleyes from 7-9 in 12-16 feet. I've has good luck in the evening for crappies (white ans black)but you need to stay away from the crowd. As the crowd expands, they keep moving away. Look for the guy fishing out where no one else is - that'll be me!
Dan97
Hey Poutmaster...How about the ice conditions on Washington, any bad spots? How thick? Washington and I go way back. Spent most of my childhood in Dassel and fished for the first time on Washington. BUT neve fished it through the ice.If you would, drop me an email. I'd like to talk to you a bit more and not bore the rest of these fine folks.Thanks.....Dan[email protected]
Guest
Well...I checked out quite a few of the area lakes this weekend. Most of the fish were small to smaller! Had my best crappie luck on Marion...had to sort through a lot of little ones but brought home a nice bunch of 3/4 - 1 lbers(Yes, they are in there)! Best walleye luck was on Washington...good eatin' size fish, but no "wallhanger"!Now, if anyone could steer me towards some eatin' sized perch I'd have it made! A little northern action wouldn't be bad either.
GullGuide
Hey all!Good to see all the posts from that area!If anyone is interested in taking on this area- Hutch/Litch I'm sure Rick would set up a separate forum for you, only stipulation is that you keep it active. If you are interested in being a forum moderator for a forum such as this, contact [email protected]and let him know. I'll mention it to him as well and see if we can get something going. There are a TON of good water out your way and we should have a forum for it!>"////=<
LMITOUT
I would think that would be a great idea. It seems that there are a few fisherman from this area, and more are showing up on here. I've been looking a long time for some local reports and finally found some here. I'd be more than happy to monitor and help on a Hutchinson Area fishing report section of this site. I usually visit it many times per day to check up on new reports, so it would not be a problem. I'm especially looking forward to the open water season and keeping the report section alive.
