GPS to LakeMaster download

I have an older (1997)Lowrance Eaqle Explorer GPS. According to my LakeMaster software on my computer I should be able to import waypoints from GPS onto map and export GPS waypoints from LakeMaster map into my GPS. I connect all the correct cables, set baud rates to match and com ports to match, select correct GPS model from dropdown menu yet when I click on import waypoints the Lakemaster software comes up saying it can't find the GPS. I have tried different baud rates and com ports.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!

Did you turn your gps on? try clicking the gps icon at the top right then click configure gps. in that window click search for gps and see if the soft ware can find it.
