CAJ
Will be in Estes Park in August for 40th Anniversary, and was wondering if there is good fishing in Mary Lake and the area around there. What kind of Poles to use. Fly or spinning reels and rods. Any info please. CAJ
Dan DAN the fisherman
I don't fish for trout during the summer months, so I can't really help much. I know there are good trout lakes up in R.M.N.P., but I'm not a fly fisherman either. There are some good Walleye lakes, not to far from Estes. Hope someone else, can help you more than I could, SORRY, Dan
bigdog
I stayed in the area a few years ago and stopped to fish just about any river I could find close to the road. Used spinners and caught some nice trout. There are some fly fishing shops in Denver that may be able to give you some more specific information. CAJ
Thanks guys. I found the web site for Estes Park, and I see there are several places to fish in the area. They even have house boats for rent there. Think that would be fun with all the family there to take a little curise on the lake. I have been there before but never stopped to fish the streams and ponds there. Hope it will be fun. CAJ
