H2O with new Nav Chip Question

I have been using the new Nav chip with my H20 unit and have been noticing that on smaller lakes, the accuracy has been off. It will put me within approx. 50ft. of the spot I am looking for but not any closer. Has anyone else been having these problems? If so, whats the solution, if any? Thanks for any responses.

You are probably not on lakes with high definition (ie. super-accurate) maps. Your gps accuracy is fine, it's just that the map on the chip is not that accurate.

It also depends on the fix you have. If you don't have a good fix, it can be off quite a bit. If you get a WAAS signal it will be much more accurate. Navigate to your Satellites page and check the EPE, this will tell you how accurate the GPS is.

I agree if you are not on a good map you will not be on the spot. DNR maps will get you close but not on the spot most times.
