DLVFD fishing tourney advice

Four of us are heading west for the tourney and never been on DL before.

We're taking a wheelhouse and would like to stay/fish close to where the tourney is being held.

1. Where is a good place to access the lake out of DL?

2. Where is the tourney held? I take it it's in East Bay somewhere.

3. Any tips for first timers would be great!

tourney will be held on six mile bay. take highway 19 west out of devils lake. you can access the lake through the public boat ramp at six mile campground, or access the lake near woodland and then drive on the ice over there. there will be tons of people out there, so be cautious.

I assume you are talking about the firemans tourney. I was there last year. My advice is that you get there early, really early and get a whole on the outside edge at the boundry. Last year it seamed most of the fish were caught on the edges very few were caught in the middle. If I was before and after I would fish over by the towers.
