Square Lake

Anybody hit Square lake this year? Wondering what the ice is like.

Hey Mattkimk. I've been wanting to get out there but haven't made it yet, but I did drive bye it on Tuesday and it looked fine. There was a couple permanents out and a couple of portables. Looked like a couple of wheeler tracks and there was a pickup that was on the ice that drove down by the beach. I can't give you any ice thickness but from what I saw I think I'll be heading down there this weekend myself.

Do you think that there is a better chance of getting a Trout out of Square now or heading back to Cenaiko and trying to angle for whatever survived the opener barage??

I have just begun to fish Square lake.I've been fishing it a little more than a year now. I have caught a couple bows in the summer with my friends that know how to fish the lake and a couple on my own thru the ice. I've never had the day like they say there having out on Cenaiko,but then again on sguare you won't have all that pressure like you do on Cenaiko.
