walleyes the new trash fish?

I go to catch bullheads for bait I catch little walleyes. I go use those bullheads for catfish I catch bigger walleyes. Enough with these pesky things! lol I was fishing a bully under a lighted float on the river last night and have repeated runs from walleyes I only landed one 2.8lber but had a nicer one to the shore and a few LDRs, I just couldnt seem to hook'em. Although it was nice to catch something, I didnt want walleyes.

I want Flatheads!
Where have they gone what are they doing. Alot of people I know including me havent caught anything but small guys 4-12lbs. We seem to be catching a much younger class of flats this year than last. Last year you didnt seem to see many under 10lbs???

Are we ever gonna have a real summer? Why am I still haveing to wear a sweatshirt at night in the middle of july? Have the fish even spawned? Its been a frustratingly slow season for flats.

Stable water is the best for fishing in my book.We haven't had very stable water for a month or so now.Plus the water temps have been hovering at the spawn stage for about a month.The cats shoud be completing the spawn here soon.Then things will start to pick up.

My "pound average" was up for the spring,untill the river started on its roller coaster.
