Sakakawea Pike

Has anyone been getting out after the pike through the ice? Is it best to target them during late ice season?

I honestly don't know for sure. I know that if I were heading out on place in the state to do some pike fishing it would be up to Devils Lake. But I am sure you can get some out of Sakakawea.

There is always a good chance at getting some nice ones right before ice out in the bays. Haven't heard anything recent though, but in March and April they really get going.
