Detroit Lakes Get Together Jan. 14, Height of Land Lake

The DL Forum will be having a get together, on Height of Land lake, Sunday January 14, 2007

We will meet at 9am at the South access just off HWY 34 E, behind the bait shop. The ice as of 12/30/06 was a pretty uniform 13". Trucks have been travelling on the ice. Due to drifting, a snowmobile may be the preferred method of travel. We'll most likely fish until dark (when the action dies down). Everyone is on there own for food. You can always drive to shore and pick up grub at the bait shop/convenience store.

HoL is a daybite lake and can produce some nice jumbo perch and bluegills. Walleyes, pike and the occasional crappie are also possible. Waxies, and teardrop jigs are standard fare for panfish and perch, as well as finesse plastics.
