camping near ATV Trails

I just got my wife an ATV, and she wants to plan a couple camping trips next summer with the intent on riding nearby trails. I am looking for some suggestions. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can get on trails near Father Hennepin State Park. I don't know their rules regarding riding through the park to access the trails.

Hi- Our family does a lot of atving and camping. If you check out the Minnesota DNR HSOforum, Look at the "OHV riding" section there is a trails list and there you can see which ones you might want to check out. I personaly like the Thistle dew trail system, north of Nashwauk. It has a couple campgrounds right off the trail. Also

Spider lake is pretty good also w/primitive camp sites and with campgrounds nearby. These are just a couple I have been too. Wisconsin has some great trails also.

Try the Paul Bunyan State Forest just north of Nevis/Park Rapids. Trails everywhere and you can camp anywhere on a state forest. There are some camp sites on the north end but they are primative. There is also a few private campgrounds in the area but I am not familiar with them. Ken

HEY, I have a camper 20 miles west of Itasca at Pike Lake resort. Trails go hundreds of miles out of this area and lot's of other cool stuff in the area. Up north and away from the crowds.

We like to go camping/Atving in the Nemadji state forest south of Duluth on the WI border.
