LMS 334 and battery life?

Can anyone who uses this unit, or a similar unit of this size, for ice fishing give me any input on roughly how long it can run off of a 12V battery with only sonar active? Sonar and GPS? I already have the 334 for my boat, but I figured since I have it I might as well rig it up for ice fishing for anyone who is with me since I have a tendency to hog my LX-3

I have a 334 on a vexlar box with a 7 amp battery. I had it on for 16 hours and it showed 50%. I charged it after that. I like how it works, just got to get use to the screen.

The lighting really dictates how much juice you'll use... Tommy as time goes by that Lowrance will out perform the marcum, play with it awhile and you'll see major differences...

I have the LMS332C mated together with the PPP-16I ice fishing package. This is one sweet ice fishing package. With GPS turned off, this setup will run longer than any of the LED Flashers out there. Should be able to get 2+ days of fishing out of it.

As far as getting the PPP-16I, I would recommend calling Reeds Sports. They had them in stock a couple of weeks ago. You won't see them on the web site, but they do carry them.

Features I like about the LMS:

1 - Being able to adjust the upper / lower limits (in 1 ft increments) lets me use the entire screen, instead of a portion of it.

2 - I like to set it up so that the surface clutter is not shown - upper limit.

3 - Using the keel offset, I can know the exact depth of the water without having to add the length of cable. Just set the keel offset to the length of cable in the water.

4 - No need for a battery indicator, it is built in. The battery voltage can be shown on any of the sonar screens.

5 - There are 5 colors that are displayed to show the echo signal strength.

6 - I am starting to like the graphing mode better than the flasher mode. I am able to see bottom fish and fish suspended in the weeds better with graphing mode.
