Keeping Waxies and Eurolarvae

So here is the problem, it seems every year i ice fish i forget what works for keeping my unused waxies and eurolarvae from dying the next day. I think if you put waxies in the fridge they last but eurolarvae will die. What do some of you do to "keep" them for more than one outing?

Get the Strikemaster Bait Puck. They are great for keeping bait alive longer. I think the real key is to keep the bait from warming and cooling too quickly. I have some Spikes in my truck that have been alive and kicking since last weekend.

Good luck,

I buy 2000 eurolarvae every year and this is what i do. yu put them in a zip lock bag and get all the air out that you can and zip it shut. Then you put them in anothe r zip lock bag and do the same thing, get the air out and zip it shut. They last all year for me this way. i put them in the bottom of the fridge.

Spikes/eurolarvae go in the fridge and waxies at room temp til they fly. I worked in a bait shop for years when I was in highschool and guys would come in all the time complaining about "bad waxies". They were in fact great waxies until the anglers put them in the fridge. That's also why most shops have them on the counter instead of with the larvae.
