Styrofoam floor

I have been thinking about making a wood fold up floor for my otter and ran an experiment. I took 3 pieces of blue Styrofoam approximately 2' x 2', laid 2 right in front of the tub & 1 centered on the door, leaving the corners for my holes. I found out my experiment is done!! It's light, dry & warm to kneel on, and cheap. I can just put the sections in the tub and lay my gear right on top when travelling. works great!!

I believe that he's talking about The blue/pink foam you can buy at Menards or Home Depot. EPS Foam (extruded Polystyrene)

Yep, that's the stuff. 1 1/2" thick rigid blue DOW Styrofoam, the stuff most people use to insulate their perm shacks.

This is what I did with my portable fold up. I went to Home Depot and bought a few sheets of the cheap white styrofoam. I bought the 1 inch thick sheets. Glued them to the plywood, glued some artifical turf carpet on top and walla. My feet always stay warm.

Kinda soft and comfey to walk on too!
