tranducer noise

Newbie Question. I recently purchased the Aqua Vu VPG. It's my first ice flasher (if you can call it that). I assembled it and charged the battery. So far so good. I turned it on and the transducer started making a clicking sound that seemed loud to me. I have a Lowrance in my boat and the transducer on that is completely silent, even when out of the water. Is there something wrong with my VPG? I havn't had a chance to get out on the ice yet. Maybe it will behave differently in the water.

Being a newbie to a flasher to, just bought a Marcum LX-2 and yes.

They are very noisy compared to my Eagle Easyfish 140. Its

amazing how quiet it gets after turning off my flasher. I

guess this must be the way the they work, different.

But I must admit, it works great despite the noise.

Your new flasher is working as designed. The clicking noise will go away once the transducer is submerged in water. Good luck
