Flasher zoom info needed

In fishing 90' of water, just wondering how much of a differance there is on a flasher that has this feature then one that doesn't? If you don't get this feature, do you have to use alot more gain, and therefore you get more cluttered look on the whole screen? If you don't have the capabilities to lock on the bottom at this depth, is it cluttered and useless? Never have used one, but am considering buying one, thanks Captain Happy

You'll be pushing the gain a bit either way. The zoom at that depth will be a big help for seperating your targets. It will help increase your strikes being able to jig on one target instead of multiple.

Captain I wish I could give you some great info but since I got my LX5 there has not been enough ice for me to try the zoom in deep water. I hope that we will get enough ice to chase some trout cause the biggest reson I got the LX5 is to fish trout deep with the zoom. I have tried it in 30 feet and did a bottom 10 feet and it works great but what I want to do is fish in 90 feet and look at 50 to 70 in a zoom.
