Devils Lake ice and fishing report

This week we have found ice conditions to range from 10-12 inches. This warm weather hasnt hurt the ice any and without any snow cover we are still making ice at night. The bite on Devils Lake so far this season has been excellent. Many areas of the lake have excellent walleye bites and we are picking up many perch along with the walleyes in shallow water. We weighed in a walleye on wednesday that went 10.6 lbs. The pike fishng remains excellent with tip ups and smelt producing the most fish and jigging spoons tipped with minnows.
