EBass
Now that the river levels are low here in Central Mn, is the cat pattern fishing deep holes? Are you now looking for faster current rather than the eddy? I guess the only tactic that I know is to fish the holes. Snags to, but with the water level being so low would they even be in there? I did fish the MN river in Chaska on Sunday. I caught a 3lb Flathead (first flatty for me) and my friend caught a 29" Channel. Needed both hands to pick that one up This was in the deepest hole I could find, but only two bites. Anyone care to share dog day tactics, I'm all ears. rushing
I'm still pretty new to this game but...the tail end of holes created by riffles and along the seams of faster currents is where I have been having luck. It really seems like you could be fishing the correct spot but if the bait isn't excatly where the fish want it they don't hit it??? Sometimes a few feet make the difference, at least this is what I have found out.Tight Lines!Rob
EBass
Thanks Rushing. I'll look for those type of areas you described.
