If that's the route we are taking, I would rather go with our young guys. Actually I would take Garza over most of these second-tier type pitchers that are getting contracts this year worth around 8-10 mil a year. FA is getting crazy. Unless we can get Jennings in a trade, our best option is to go with our young bucks IMO.

Did anybody notice where LaTroy Hawkins went. Wasn't he a fly ball pitcher? Going to Colorado would be dumb for most pitchers but suicidal for a fly ball pitcher.

There were early rumors about the Twins pursuing Gil Meche, but an article I saw seemed to indicate that he was priced out of the Twins range.

Then I see today that Meche signed a five-year deal with the Royals. I have no idea what's going on with the Twins...
