Goat Hunting

For all you Antelope hunter out there, who might be willing to help a non-resident hunter.

I would like to get myself a nicer goat with my bow. How is Nebraska for non-res hunting and is it diffucult to get a tag?

HL, I did some checking on the Nebraska Game and Parks site. It appears that archery permits for goats are unlimited and for non-resident, they are $132.00. Therefore, I dont think you would have any issues. Just find some land. From what I hear from my buddies, finding good goat land is easy, and permission comes a lot faster than pheasant/deer/etc. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the info. I would like to go next year and need to find a place where I might be able to stick a P&Y buck.

Watering holes will be the key. Find some land with those and you are golden. You could just buy Jay Novaceks ranch out there then you could have Elk, goat, Mulies, Whitetail and a bunch of exotics. But you may need to hit the lottery first - its in the millions!

I dont buy lottery tickets so I guess I will just have to do it the normal way. I always have liked a good challenge when hunting.
