Lunker
I was just wondering what people think about, or if any body has tried this method. Every time I go fishing for other fish I end up with a bucket of unused fatheads minnows. If you ground up these minnows, formed a ball and wrapped it in cheesecloth, wouldn't this release a lot of scent? Just an idea.
Aquaman01
Hmmm - sounds reasonable. If it doesn't work, at least you'll have a nice spread for crackers while you're fishing. ------------------Aquaman<')}}}}}><{Peace and Fishes[This message has been edited by Aquaman01 (edited 07-07-2003).]
vern
Just put 5 or 6 on the hook & lightly step on them to get the juices flowing. I do that a lot when I'm on the Upper Mississippi fishing for smallmouth & walleyes. I like to save any dead shiners, chubs or fatheads & try for some cats before I leave. Always good to keep a cut-bait knife handy too. Even when I'm walleye fishing I can't pass up a few bonus cats! Vern
korn_fish
I know some folks that get dead shiners, ,fatheads etc. from bait shops and grind them up for an addition to their paste baits. I would have to say that using them alone in some sort of cloth would probably work out good for ya.
Guest
Try super funky dead leaches once. If you don't BARF putting them on, cats find them bugger pretty darn quick.------------------Ed "Backwater Eddy" CarlsonBackwater Guiding "ED on the RED"
