Illuminator Beaver Dam tip-up

Hello everyone, long time browser, first time poster. I am wondering if anyone has had an opportunity to use this tip-up. I assume it is new this year because I have never seen it before. I am wondering how long does it illuminate for? How long does it have to “charge” for it last a while? I do a lot of tip-up fishing at night for walleyes and I usually put my own reflectors on and use a flashlight. Does it work well enough to see a flag up when it is pitch black or do you still need to a flashlight to see if it’s up? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I could be wrong - but at night I still think you would need a tipup light or at least a flashlight to see the flag...I was looking at them too - but it seemed pretty pricy - so I was holding out for some feedback here too...

My buddy and I bought one and you will still need a tip up light. The illuminator on the actual tip up will allow you to see the tip up but not when the flag goes up. Beaver Dam are top of the line though.

Yeah I love my Beaver Dams. They certainly are the best tip-up out there. I have tried in the past to use the lights but they never seem to last long enough to justify buying them. I am considering buying that system that pages you when you get a flag but it would be nice if they made a glow in the dark that worked well enough.
