Real dumb question here

I just bought one of the 24 LED dome lights that everyone was talking about on here. I also happened to come across a rechargeable 6V gel battery I had laying around unused at my house. It's half the size of the normal 12V batteries so it would be convenient to use.

#1 can I use this on that light? Any problems in doing so, other than shorter battery life?

#2 Can I use the 12V battery charger from my Vexilar or Aqua Vu to charge the 6V battery?

These questions come from the guy who just blew the electrical out of his garage after hooking up Christmas lights. Electricity + me = not so good.

you can use the 6v, but you won't get as much light. don't use the 12v charger it could get to hot and make a mess. I would fight the right charger for it. you can pick up a lawn mower battery for $20 if your looking for a small 12v

I think you can but you would need like (4) of them wired in (series-parallel) to get the 12V needed and amp hours.

If they are half the size of the 12V normal batteries they must be like for toys and such. A 6 volt golf cart battery is actually bigger then a 12 volt. People get (2) of these and wire them in "series" to get long 12 volt staying power.

Maybe someone with professional expertise can chime in but I think your out of luck !!

We dont need another Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation episode at your house (lol)
