Jeff Dosch
Yesterday was our first day back on the hard water and WOW what a great feeling! This time of year is great because you dont have to go far to find some excellent fishing. We set up in some shallow flooded timber and caught some 14-22 inch walleyes in 6 ft of water. What a perfect way to start a new season. Ice thickness is 5-7 inches in the bays and we havent traveled to far to find out how thick the ice is on the main lake. I would think by next weekend we should be able to travel by ATV on the entire lake. Cant wait for that first good perch bite or to hook into that first big pike.Hope to see you on the ice,Jeff Doschwww.doschguides.com
