Vexilar Question

Hello all,

I have a 3 year old Vexilar FL18. I notice now after I have charged the battery, the charge indicator light only stays on for about 10 minutes and then goes out. I havent had the flasher go out yet even after a few hours of fishing after the light goes out. I then charge the battery again for 24 hours and have the same thing happen all over again. Is it time for a new battery?

Thnaks,

Justin

I Agree with guppie and that you should let it go dead and then try too charge it. If I were you I would go and buy a new onr and then when one goese dead then swich it out and put the dead one on the charge. This way you dont have too worry about not having a charged battery. Ps Good luck fishing. smile.gifsmile.gif

I believe it is a sealed lead acid battery. Do ya run your car or pickup battery dead after every use? lol. They recommend that you charge it at room temperature after each use. That's what I do and my batteries are 6 years old and still going. My backups are even older. You don't want to leave them on the charger too long either unless it is one that shuts off when the battery is charged. smile.gif
