Fishing after Work Today?

Planning on going out today after work. Not sure where yet maybe the Crow or Mississippi or Rum. But going to stay around the northwest metro area. Anyone wanna go?

Have you decided on where yet? I might try the Mississippi again where I got a couple cats last night. (Secret spot in MPLS) Ran outa suckers to use as cut bait. That seemed to be the ticket. I only have crawlers now. That might work to, but the bigger kittys were taking the cut bait. Two of them almost took the rod outa my hand. Biggest was around 3lbs and fiesty.

I think I'll run up to where the Rum and Mississippi meet. It's call Penisula point Park in Anoka, just north of Champlin. Unless you wan to share your secret spot.

That's a little too far north to shore fish for me.

I'll email you the general area, but I can't really give this up as no one really fishes it and it's a proven kitty spot.

I've done that before. I also used shrimp to. However, I found out that cut sucker is the best. Nightcrawlers or leeches are second. From my experience any who.

I need to get some suckers though.
