Daiwa Reels -Buyer Beware....

I bought 1 Daiwa Millionaire last year and 3 this year, and every single reel has been sent back to Diawa for repair.. All 4 reels have worn out, and instead of fixing the reels, I received a bill for the repairs (Approx. $100).. Their customer service department said that due to excessive use they wore out and they do not cover them under warranty.. Keep in mind, I am not a guide, rarely do others use my rods and reels and in 1 year I wore out 3 millionaires and in 2 years had another wear out and this is my fault?? I fish approximately 30-40 hours per week from June till November.. Do the math, 6 months times 4 weeks per month times 40 hours per week = about 1000 hours divided by 4 reels is 250 hours per worn reel... These reels are around $215, I know I will not be buying another Daiwa reel...

I had the same problem a few years ago with the 2 millionaires that I purchased, I think I ended up selling them in a garage sale for next to nothing. For a couple a bucks more Abu's are hard to beat. The only thing that I have had to do is put a new handle on one of my C3's.
