i am 17 years old and have taken an interest in trapping. i am mainly interested in muskrat trapping. i was wondering if any experienced trappers have any advice on how to trap them and where i can buy cheap traps.

Contact the Minnesota Trappers Association and see if they can put you in contact with a member who is willing to show you the ropes. Best to learn from someone who is in the know, than to set traps and have things go wrong and create bad press for trappers. If you need contact numbers or email addresses for the MTA let me know.

Ah....memories. I used to trap back in the 70's and 80's. Best set up for muskrats were 110 conibears set at den entrances and feeder streams. Just put an ad in the paper stating what you are looking for and you will get calls.
