Mr. Pike1
Matt, I may find myself there as I have to get some ice line and there a couple different lines I want to try this year and I am sure they will have quite a selection.Do you know if they sell any of to little atom plastics? I would like to add a few of these to my ice bag to test agains the waxie or spikes in diff conditions for panfish.
Matt Johnson
Yep, Lonnie should be in. He was in all day today. Thorne Bros does not carry the line of Little-Atom plastics, but we do carry a wide-assortment of other plastic options for under the ice. I left the store tonite around 8:30pm and I don't think we can fit anything else in there A ton of stuff to check out and all the staff at Thorne Bros are very excited about Friday and Saturday. I sure know I'm looking forward to it! Make sure you stop by and say hi if you make it in, always fun chatting with fellow FMer's and other ice fishing die hards! Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Reynolds
Had planned on making it back to pick up a portable on either Friday or Saturday, but unfortunately the job I am on has gone a little long so I don't think that is in the cards anymore. Maybe will have to try and hit you guys up at the Ice Fishing Show. Would like to try and pick up a rod and reel combo or two also. Will you guys be selling the Otter Combos at the show? And how about hyfax and hitches?
Mr. Pike1
Matt, I will be there in the morning and will chat with you a bit. I know with your celebrity status in the ice fishing world it may be hard to get past all the groupies I was thinking of sending a few of the Viking cheerleaders your way to have them paw at you a bit. I am interested to see some of the other ice plastics you mention and get your feedback. I can stop at the GM in Maplewood to get a bag or two of the little atom plastics

Mr. Pike1
Matt, nice to meet you again. I added a nice Thorn Brothers rod, which I did not need but once I had it in my hand I could not put it down and at 15% not a bad deal. I also really like the P-line Florice line. Very very strong for 3lb. I put it on three of my poles, some fireine ice on my larger walleye jigging spoons and then 3lb berkely micro ice to round out the others. I am going with 9 combo's again this ice season. I upgrade each year and now find I have about 8 ice poles I no longer use. I did not see a lot of ice plastics and picked up some ot the little atoms plastics at gander. I usually go live bait but when I am on active fish I alwaus test the plastics to see how they perform. Maybe see you and others on the ice.

Matt Johnson
Nice to see you as well Mr. Pike1. Too bad we couldn't sit around a BS a little more. It got real busy in there real quick, and it was like that for a good part of the day. I hope that Power Noodle works out for you. We'll have to meet up this winter and put it to use river-rat, I'll shoot you an e-mail and we'll figure something out... The sale is still on tomorrow, so if anyone is looking for some excellent deals feel free to stop in at Thorne Bros. Or if you're just looking to talk ice fishing and play with a few toys you're more than welcome as well I'll be there the whole day tomorrow... Mr. Pike1
Matt, getting out a few times on the hard water sounds good. I just picked up the entry level snowmobile to get around without killing myself on those bigger bodies of water and when we have that drifted snow etc. I noticed it was very busy when I was there and I did not want to take a lot of your time. I was there about 30 minutes before you got there so I did a lot of browsing but I am really set with more then everything I need. The pole was a good addition and it has assumed the number 2 spot in my aresenal. My issue this winter will be that I need to do a few test runs on the sled to make sure I know what the heck I am doing as far as loading from the trailer, driving it on, towing stuff, and pull starting as it does not have electric start. However, I may just add this before the ice season. It only takes two or three pulls to get it to go but then again that is in my garage at 50 degrees vs. 10 degrees. I kind of feel like when I got my first boat 15 years ago. Needed to practice a bit those first few trips to local launch to make sure backed in correctly, pulled of the straps, all the good stuff. I will be a newbie to the sled on ice this year so keep a safe distance
