What a morning!! Our mission was to search out, and find where the Crappie move and hold this time of the year for our ice adventures. Sunday am, from 6:30 to about 10:30 am. Our 2 fish finders and my Aqua View helped out tremedously!! I could see the bottom, and up to 4-5 crappie on the camera when in the Zone. They weren't holding to any of the structure down there, just in a certain area

Water temp was from 52-54 degrees..

We found them in about 20-25 feet with small jigs, I used a Northland rattle jighead/2.5" finness shad, my friend used a small jig, I'm not sure what kind. (I think I caught a couple more than he did ) right on the bottom. In about a 2.5 period of time, we had double hook ups, and threw back about 50+ crappie!! We kept 17 for the table.. Near the end of that time, I called my Dad to join us. He appeared, got into the boat and we proceeded to catch only a couple more

I brought 4 paddle bouys that helped us pinpoint were they were on the finders. Looking at them both, we hooked up most of the time when the wind blue us between them...
