COLD WATER CATS ANYONE?

CANOPY SAM

Recommended Posts

If I'm not mistaken we were contemplating a ice-cat gathering a while back, weren't we? Didn't somebody mention the Horseshoe Chain?
Is this still in the works, cause I'm really itchin' to get back out on the ice for a day or so.
I can't chase walleyes or pike on inland waters right now, and I'm sure not gonna spend my time chasin' sunnies - remember - big fish only! My whiskers are beginning to twitch.....

I was going to go out this Saturday but my plans got changed. I don't think the new born needs to spend a weekend at the cabin yet. I think the following weekend will be more suitable. And yes the Horseshoe Chain is the place to be. Check in the St. Cloud Forum. Anyone who is interested in here, post over there and maybe we can get something figured out/planned. I do know that nows the time of the year that the cats and crappies bite at the same time and level.

Great Fishhead!
Clear schedule means at least one solid two day trip to Lake of the woods in mid March, right? Right! It's settled then.....
Best eyes and pike you'll see through the ice all year...ya' can't miss it! We can pick up a mess of slab crappies outta URL on the way home!!!
So I'm thinkin' the weekend of March 14th or maybe the 21st. Take your choice. Can't push it too late or the ice will start to get slushy and it can get a little hairy gettin' to the good spots!
Lemme' know which weekend we're goin'up nort'.
Now let's get to that St.Cloud site - heard anything from Scott? Can we head up to the horseshoe this Sat or Sun, or maybe (just maybe) next Tuesday?
