I am sure there are few of them here..... wink.gif

Anyway I need you to turn on your Aqua-Vu/Marcum infrared camera in the dark and look through a riflescope to see if you can see.

I sold my cameras since I don't use them and I don't have any available.

I am trying to find an economic night vision system.

Most camcorders are capable of infrared recording/viewing - you just need to provide an infrared light source. The image will be grainy, but very distinct.

I use our Sony Handycam with IR flood/heat lamps in the barn to monitor foaling mares. Wired to the vcr in the house, the wife doesn't even have to stay awake all night, just rewind the tape.

If you're looking for true night-vision/stealth or no-light operation, invisble IR LED lamps and cameras can be found at various websites like Supercirciuts.

sorry to say but with night vision you get what you pay for. most camcorders wont see past 30 ft. if you want to see less than 100 yrds gen 1 will work if you want too see farther you will need to get the better stuff. i don't know how accessible the new stuff is but i've heard with gen 3 you need a letter from the state dept. to take out side the U.S.
