Used Strike Lite

Came across a Strike Lite demo unit the other day for $400. Does that seem like a decent enough price to pick it up? I believe the fellow also said it comes with some kind of factory warranty. Visibly it looked to be in excellent condition.

When you say "Demo" do you mean just a floor model, or was it actually used? If it's brand new but was just out on the floor, buy it!!!!

No. Not used. Give him $325-350 and I would want new blades on it as well.

If I'm not mistaken, retailers slashed the prices on brand new, in the box, Strike-Lites late last winter to $400 to move inventory.

New, they are about $500. It probably depends on how much use it got... if its got a full factory warranty, I would say thats a good deal.

If it was a floor model, different story. At this time of year, I would say buy it.

I believe it was actually used for the season by one of the members of their staff who is sponsered by Strikemaster. Being that he is still able to offer the auger with a full factory warranty he is able to classify it as a "demo" as opposed to "used".

It also depends on who the staffer was. I have a friend that was given three to use last year and turned them in after the season. I don't know if I'd want one unless the factory had gone completely through it. (This guy is a little hard on equipment)
