MN River Fishing Report

The big flats are still cruising up onto and around the hard bottom shelves in search of food.

If you're looking for 50 to 20 lb samurai linebackers to tangle with now is the time to head out.

Please, release these babies and give em a chance to get even bigger. I hear there are some 60+ lb flats in here and possible a state record cruising these waters.

Bring a camera to record your catch and have the satisfaction of watching a magnificent fish swim back home.

By my totaling system grin.gif I've been around 217+ pounds of cats caught in two nights.

Right on Rick! Absolutely no reason to keep those big cats. Sounds like you've had 2 great weekends catching flats. I'm jealous. I've been fishing bass on the Mpls. lakes, but I need to hit the river soon for those monster cats. Vern

I have to thank Dark30 for putting me onto those 30 lb samurai linebackers (Flats).

He and Fishhhead are the real deal gang.

They don't believe they are, but I've been around enough to know...they definitely are.

If you ever have the pleasure to hook-up with either of these two you're in for a treat.

I would gladly pay for the opportunities those two River Rats have given me.

Thanks again guys.
