Marcum VX-1

Has anyone tried one of these? I sure like the price $199.

I have had and used one the last season and a half. I did not have the money to spend on more expensive units, but have found that this one works good. I definitley noticed that I was catching more fish by knowing that they are there. Does not have zoom feature but is it really needed?

Great product and I would not be scared to buy again.

The Vx-1 looks to be the old LX-1 of which I had one and my son until we both got the new LX-3tc last year.

They are a "fine" unit that I had for two years and it worked excellent. Between the Lx-1 and my portable hand held LX-i I was more then pleased with both !!

The VX-1 just came out on November 1, 2006. It is not the old LX-1. The VX-1 does have zoom, also. It is comparable to the features of the Vexilar FL-18, but a lot less expensive.
