pocketknife
Out around Alexandria area there is no ice left on any waters including small ponds. It was about 70+ today and no ducks to be seen, but that should change with the NW winds starting this evening.
trailratedtj
im working up in fergus falls around the 210 west and 94 intersection. probably saw 2500-3500 geese today. flying SE in the morning to noon time and SW in the evening. looked very tired this evening. flying in huge flocks not too high and very eager to land in the tilled corn fields. last tuesday i ran up on a flock of around a couple thousand in a field about 3 miles nw of 210 and 94. could be an awesome hunt if you could get permission from the farmers.just a little fyi for all you guy. if wasnt up here working id definately be out in the fields myself
HunterLee
Up around here there are lots of honkers around. The swamp i hunt has at least 2-3000 honkers good 100 snows and 5-700 mallards. Got 2 honkers and 2 mallards the yesterday, and tried to pass shoot them this morning but they were to high. Paddled through slushy ice to get to them. Didnt have lots of time or i would easyly gotten my 4 mallards. The geese were loners that tryed to land on my decoys, one greater and the other was about the size of the mallards so musta been a cackler. With the weather forecast for here i dont expect them to move on anytime to soon.
