Geese are smart!!

I went out saturday and sunday. I had at least 2 flocks come into me both days. but they flair I think its because of the blinds. My friend Pete said to just lay in the feild and put corn stalks on top on me and see if they will come in. Also I check out this other spot and I saw at least 40 mallards land there. So tomorrow moring I am going out to get some mallards and I will put out some 2 goose decoys because I have seen a few loners.

But sometimes they are dumb too!

For most of the duck hunting season, we were hunting with a dozen GHG floaters in addition to our duck spread and nearly every loner goose or pair expressed interest. The loners would usually lock up and float all the way in with no calling. Bang! Gotta love that!

I got a dozen of the G+H floaters last year and I really think they help. Like hanson said every lone goose or pair gives us a good look even if they don't come in.
