Hey, I heard about this too late, but there is a documentary on catfish noodling showing tonight at the Suburban World Theater in Uptown Mpls. I wish I could go and check it out. Maybe they'll show it again. Vern

I wish I could make it to the show. Noodling is the craziest way I can think of to catch a cat. When I was little an old guy by my Grandfather's house in Iowa would do that on the Boone River. He only had seven fingers because of it! I geuss one evening he was feeling aroun in the wrong hole, and a big snapper got a hold of him! Didn't discourage him one bit! Nuts I tell you,nuts!

That's what I'd be afraid of. It's not the flatheads, but all the other creatures that might be down there. I don't think I'd do it. I'll check and see if they're showing it again. Vern

Awe come on guys!That would be fun!Reach down stick your fist in a big old sandpaper mouth and hold on for dear life!I have heard guys dislocating their shoulders and even being pulled under!Now that is sport fishing!A true battle!Man vs.cat!
I did have the oportunity to get in a wrestling match with a small flathead (24lbs)last year.I had to get in the water and wrestle him on to shore.Water,arms and fins were flying everywhere!He was attached to a line too and it was still quite a tussle to get him on the bank!I don't know if I would actully be sticking my hand in hole and logs though!

It looks like channel 2 is showing this at 9:00 tonight. It's called Okie Noodling. I can't wait to check it out. Vern
