atv for ice fishing in wisconsin?

does anybody know if you need the non-resident trail pass if you are just going to use your atv for ice fishing? No driving on trails or anything other than the lakes. Thanks for any info in advance.

i would say you do as the lakes are part of the trail system.I'f you buy one in wis. you need to get sticker for public use even if you only go on lakes.

not that it means much but i do beleive you can run in MN on lakes with a sled without our sticker. Lakes part of an atv trail? I wouldnt think (IMO) they would be considered atv trail when its illegal to drive in them in the summer when most atv are run.......but i'd get a WI book or get ahold of a CO there
