Rusting on wheelhouse?

How do you guys keep your wheelhouses from rusting out? How often do you wash them off? Mine is probably 6 or 7 years old and is getting some rust along the fenders.

i dont have a wheel house but maybe you could put some kinda undercoating like a Z bart type thing or somethin i will have to do that to my other trailer

Ya I would wash it really good and clean of all the rust and put some sort undercoating, also stuff like line x for pickup bed works to. Also how did you store it over the summer I would keep the frame off the ground set it on some blocks in all for corners, because when its on the ground there will be lots of moister

I painted mine last year. I used a wire disc to get as much rust off as I could. I used Permatex rust treatment and grabi guard as a chip guard. I then painted it with rustolium. It seemed to hold up very well. It has only been one year but it looks great! I love fixing up my house hate fixing it.

I keep it on blocks whenever it's in use or in storage. Thanks for the coating tips. Where can you find that stuff?

you should be able to get eny undercoating at a auto parts store or mabey even walmart?
