Northland Sportsman
I installed a winch on my polaris sportsman this weekend and I would like to know where most of you install the switch. I mounted it temporarily to see if I like it but would like additional ideas. I have been told many different places and am not sure which is best or most practical. Any suggestion? Thanks! 78cj5
I put it where the instructions told me to, next to my left grip. I think I will eventually either make a mount that is not so vulnerable to hazards and/or go with a remote...Not a priority at this point.
Macgyver55
Assuming its a toggle style switch, generally its better to have the switch on the left side so if you are pulling yourself out of being stuck you will be able to operate the throttle and the winch simultaneously. The twist style controls are a bit more difficult to find a spot just because of their size and you need more room to operate them.
Northland Sportsman
Thanks for the replies! It is a toggle style switch. It sounds like you have them mounted right on the handlebar, which I think would be good too. Keep the dieas coming.
