outdoor ran
With all of the Jeff Gordon (one of the greatest drivers of all time BTW) bashing lately. I thought it was time to pick on one of the most over rated drivers of all time. Yes, nascars golden son Jr. Who wouldnt even have a ride if it wernt for his last name. Maybe someday his fans will put down there bud and see this guy couldn't even drive his way out of a wal-mart parking lot if he tried. He has got to be nascars biggest wimp. He lets everyone run him over and push him around and he has no you know what to stand up for himself. Might be a great guy off the track. Maybe thats because hes always drunk like his fans. But hes nothing on track. There I threw enough wood in to start a fire Good luck hunting and fishing this weekend guys
LMITOUT
Someone please lock this thread. I've never read so much nonsense in so few sentences. Little E - 4th place finish.#24 - done blew up and still waiting on his 5th.... Too bad he doesn't have any friends.Next.
PERCHJR
LMITOUT, I was hoping nobody would reply to this thread, I have been fighting it since this dump appeared!!! harvey lee
He is running as good as Gordon so ehat does that say for the 24,maybe even more overrated to say the least.
JohnMickish
Say what you want, the cup championship score is still 4-0. I have to ask you Jr. fans a question, how come everybody compares Jr. to Gordon? Gordon has a few years on him in the league and has won more races than Jr. (or any current cup driver) ever will so wouldn't it make more sense to compare Jr. to Kenseth, or even Johnson? They both came in in the same year. (Kenseth and Jr. did)

I agree he should be compaired to Kenseth and Johnson as well.
lawdog
Gordon is 35. Jr. is 32.
harvey lee
Yes Gordon has more wins than Jr.But for this year there is exactly no difference between the two.Super Gordon this year he is not. Jr has not been around as long as Gordon and he may not win 4 cups but Gordon is nothing special this year.Jr just made it into the final then right along with super Gordon. outdoor ran
You know me by now . Just trying to get the boat rockin with the Jr. fans. Pretty sure everyone knows I'm joking around. I can only take so much Gordon bashing then I snap and I'am good for awhile I'd take Jr. over Tony Stewart or a Rousch car anyday. Who knows maybe its Jr's time to win a cup this year. I hope not, would take the fun out of teasing you Jr fans
LMITOUT
ROFL! First thing you state is the 4-0 record and then in the same breath you ask why everyone compares Jr. to Gordon???? Hello? I think it's more like the other way around. As soon as someone says something positive about Jr, the stats come flying out from the Gordo camp. Hmmmmmm? That's funny right there....I don't care who you are! We really shouldn't compare the two....Jr has two Busch Championships while Gordon has none. And, if you want to dig up more of the past arguments, I remember the Gordon camp bringing up the fact that "it's much harder to win a championship today than it was when Dale Sr was racing and that's why Sr. has seven and Gordo is stuck on four." Hmmmm.. So by that rationale it is indeed not correct to compare Jr. and Gordo because Gordo won his championships when the competition wasn't as tough as it is today where Jr. is racing for his first. I've never had crow before....tell me how that tastes. I wasn't seriously meaning to lock the thread....just making a point! Garbage!
lawdog
You are right, Gordon didn't have much competition, he was just whooping the old #3's arse 3 of those 4 championship years!!!!!
LMITOUT
Bump Gordo's career up 15 years and I wonder how he would have competed against the REAL good ol' boys who did some rubbin and bangin. He would have cried all the way home...."Mom, they're hitting me! Make them stop! If you don't believe me I'll put a seat on the passenger side and let you ride with me once"baaahahaha. harvey lee
Gordon was in his prime and Sr was getting older.I would like to compare Sr in his prime with the Golden boy.
JohnMickish
YOU (lmitout) where the first one to bring up the #24 in this thread. Hows that crow? Yes, Jr. has two Busch championships. Good for him. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that Gordon ran a more than one year in the Busch series so that would make it pretty hard to have two championships. At least the math that I know dictates that. Anyways, I'm sure everybody but you Jr. fans would rather have the 4 Cups than the two Busch championships. I brought up the question of why you Jr. fans compare Jr. to Gordon because it's not really a fair comparison but you guys always start it. There is no comparison so why do you guys bring it up? Jezz, you Jr. guys are pretty easy to ruffle up nowadays.
harvey lee
Its always the ongoing Jr versus Gordon. That will never end.Where is Jr and Gordon in the points?
LMITOUT
Post #1, words 5 and 6. And no, we don't always start it. I could say Jr. won on Sunday and there'd be at least two replies saying something regarding Gordon's 70+ wins, etc, etc that don't even pertain to the subject at hand just to get an argument going and sidetrack the original post to divert any positive attention to Jr. I guess the Gordon fans need as much attention as Gordon himself needs/craves. So what is the best way to prepare crow anyway? I'm getting tired of serving it up all the time.

JohnMickish
The score is still 4-0. And I do dislike Gordon, I just dislike Jr. more. However, I do respect Mr. Gordon's driving ability.
walleyeking#8
Just thought i would put my two cents worth in. I am a diehard nascar fan and might miss out on one race each year. This is my opinion on race car drivers. A driver is only as good as his team. That said, put your favorite driver in another teams car and how would that driver do each season. That said, what if Jeff Gordon was with MB2 or penske racing, would he have won all those races and championships? If Jr. was with hendricks, what would his outcome be? Every one of the nascar drivers are the best, be it the pole sitter or the 43rd starting car. I firmly believe that money talks. The teams with the most money are going to have the best cars, not necessarily the best drivers though. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. So this be mine. harvey lee
walleye,I agree with what you said except you forgot about the driver/crewchief relationship. It does take time for the two to gell and know how to relate. If Jeff Gordon and Ray Evernham were still together I wonder how many more wins he would have?
JohnMickish
I don't know if I can agree 100% with that. Didn't Dale Sr. win his 7 championships with 4 different crewchiefs?
harvey lee
Yes,all I am saying is when Jeff and Ray were together he was almost unbeatable. They were a very good team for sure and the wins show it.
