hoggs222
Does anybody own a 4x8 trailer with the fold down ramp from Home Depot? How does it pull? Enough room w/ATV on it? Thoughts?
0 Guest
I am not sure which trailer they have now. I own one of the previous trialers they had(Snow Bear?) that are 4x8, and the front and rear gate can be put down to convert it to 4x12 within a minute. They are a welded design and they are excellent trailers rated to #3500 pounds. The only issue I have with mine is the tailgate spot welds break eventually and I had to have them properly welded.I think the newer ones have a folding rear gate which is probably due to breaking welds of the 1st trailers.. their way of making it more convienient and durable. I am sure they are a great trailer. I am not unhappy with mine, its been a great trailer and has hauled my atv's, and many heavy loads in its time. Its origional tires are now bald and need replacing.. other than the gate needing rewelded, no issues at all.I like the long, narrow flatbed design. It allows me to pull 2 ATV's, on in fron of the other, or 1 with a ice house connected. The longer trailer pulls much nicer down the road vs side by side.Good trailer. 0 Wavey Davey
I also have a Snow Bear (Home Depot, made in Canada) older style as mentioned (2000). Got it used from a coworker who used it to haul his ATV. As far as I know it worked OK for that, I use it for a utility trailer. It's actually 4-1/2 x 8 and you can lay 4 x 8 sheets flat in it with the tailgate on. It's built good and heavy duty. The only drawback I've found is the extendable tounge design for making it longer also makes it less stable and may vibrate. Overall I'm happy with it, especially since I got it for less than half the cost as new
