hi, i can get a bunch of new vinyl siding in green and white for free. I am thinking about putting this on my fishhouse. What are the pros and cons of using this? I was just gonna paint the plywood and go that way for this year but since i can get this stuff for free would that be the way to go? I dont care if it only lasts a year or two.. Give me your 2 cents

thanks

I had it on my old house. When it is cold out and your pulling it, the siding can get really brittle. I got a few holes the first time. I changed to aluminum. No problems after that. I got the corrugated stuff at Menards. Surprising though it only added about 150 lbs.

Good luck, Kid

FREE is as cost effective as one can get smile.gif It protects your house, ups the value and looks better.

Diamond plate instead of vinyl the bottom 2' - 3' sides and front. 4 X 8 sheet is around $80 have it ripped in half length wise and start laying adhesive & screws smile.gif

Vinyl damage/worries is erased and you have heavy duty protection on the lower section to the trailer. Or vinyl the entire house & pull off the bottom few feet in the future if $$ is a issue now !!

If you happen to go with plywood clulk it for sure!! At least around the edges. I didnt and mine leaked with all the rain a couple weeks ago and the water creeps up the plywood from the bottom even with paint. When finances allow I'm getting Alumniumn.
