I finally had the opportunity to get up grouse hunting with my son. We went to the Drake Motel in Blackduck MN. Mike and Diane directed us to some excellant grouse hunting trails. The number of grouse are on the upswing now and we saw plenty and had great shooting. Being out grouse hunting is awesome in it’s own right. Mix it in with a father son outing and who could ask for anything more. We wore our black Lab Paris out and I dare say we wore ourselves out as well. There are thousands of miles of trails and we never walked past another hunter. Get out and have some fun yourselves.
