Avatar Issues

Anyone else having problems putting in an avatar picture? I tried to change mine today but keep running into problems. I go onto imageshack, browse and choose my file. Choose to resize image to avatar size and choose to remove the black bar. Click host, and then try to cut and paste the first hotlink for forum. Then I go to my home, click the button for using an avatar and then paste the url from imageshack. I keep getting the improper picture response. It is in JPEG format. Any suggestions?

Finally got it figured out. Tried the direct link option and it went through.
