north shore
Well the early season is coming to a end in a few days but so far we haved taken 109 birds since the !st of Sept. Missed 2 days of hunting and been skunked just 2 days.3 of us shot our limits on thurs am for a total of 24 which was a great day. Almost drown in my coffin blind this am with some heavy rains and few birds to be seen.Oh well.Still a great time.
CNY Tim
Nice work Greg on the geese! Sorry I couldn't make it out to the beach tonight, don't know if it would have been that good with the rains today but I'll give you a call when I head your way again. CNYFrank
Reminds me of hunting in Iowa! You would think those birds would be suspicious of the brown coffins in a green field . . .but Nooooo.
north shore
Frank: Guess that they look like big bails of hay from the air. We were in some green fields with rows of hay still there. It is our first year with coffin blinds and they are awsome. Always made a quick blind or hid in a ditch. My super magnum decoys are big enuf to hide under. 4ft long.Love to get the birds to decoy and it is awsome when they sit nearly on top of you.
