Lowrance LMS 332-C Pole Mount Thread

I recently purchased a new LMS 332-C unit. Some assembly is needed. No problem. However, when I got to putting the remote antenna on the cone shaped base, I found that the thread inside the cone is neither a l/2 inch (too small) or 3/4 inch (too large). I went down to my friendly Hardware Hank store. Nobody there could help me with it either. I could wait until next week and go back to Walker, where I bought it, and see what they say. But I want to get in mounted by then. If somebody has mounted one of these on a pole mount, can you help me out here? Thanks.

I have my x15 GPS antenna on a VHF radio antenna mount, it's white and matches the cone. It does not thread correctly until the last 2 threads then locks in and I haven't had any problem, even in rough waters or trailering on big bumps.

Yup it's just an antenea mount you can pick them up lots of places, Gander carries them most of the time, but they were out in Lakeville so I went to west marine.
